What is a Cult!   A Cult is a group or movement exhibiting a great or excessive devotion or dedication to some person, idea, or thing and employing unethically manipulative techniques of persuasion snd contorl, Isolation from former friends and FAMILY, debilitation, use of special methods to heighten suggestibility and subservience, powerful group pressures, information management, suspension of individuality or critical judgment, promotion of total dependency on the group and fear of leaving it.  Designed to advace the goals of the group's leaders to the actual or possible detriment of memebers, their families or the community.

What Are Some Characteristics of a Cult?

-- Authoritarian in their power structure

-- Totalitarian in their control of the behavior of their members

-- Pyramidal structure

-- Uses thought reform techniques

-- Isolation of members (physical and  or psychological isolation) from society

-- Promotes dependence of the members on the group

-- Totalitarian in their world view

-- Uses mind altering techniques (chanting, meditation, hypnosis and various forms of repetitive actions) to stop normal critical thinking

-- Appears exclusive and innovative

-- Charismatic or messianic leader who is self-appointed and has special mission in life

-- Controls the flow of information

-- Instills fear of leaving

  Matthew 23: 13- 33     Woe to you teachers of the law and Pharisees, you yppocrites!  You shut the  kindowm of heaven  in men's faces.  You yourselves do not enter nor will let those enter who are trying too.  Woe to you, teachers of the law and Pharisees you hypocrites! you travel over land and sea to win a single convert, and when he becomes on, yu make him twice as much a son of hell as you are.  Woe to you blind guides!  you say, 'If anyone swears by the temple it means nothing but if anyone swears by the gold of the temple he is bond by his oath.  You blind fools! Which is greater, the gold or the temple that makes the gold sacred?  You also say if anyone swears by the alter it means nothing buut if anyone swears by th gift on i, he is bound by his oath.  You blind men which is greater, the gift or the altar that makes the gift or the altar that makes the gift sacred?  Therefore he who swears by the altar swears by it and by evrything on it and the who swears by the temple swears by it and the one who dwells in it.  And he who swears by heaven swears by God's throne and by the one who sits on it.  Woe to you teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!   You give a tenth of you spices mint, dill and cummin.  But youhave a neglected the more important matters of the law-justice, mercy and faithfullness.  You should have practice the latter, without neglecting the former.  You blind guides.  You strain out gnat but swallow a camel.  Woe to you teachers of the law and Pharisees, you hypocrites!  You clean the outside of the cup and dish but

inside they are full of greed and self-indulgence.  Blind Pharisee! first clean the inside of the cup and dish and then the out side aslo will be clean.  Woe to you teachers of the law and Pharisees you hypocrites! you are like whitwashed tombs which look beautiful on the outside but on the inside are full of dead mens's bones and everything unclean.  In the same way on the outside you appear to peopple as righteous but on the inside you are full of hypocrisy and widkedness.  You snakes! You broad of vipers! How will you escape being condemnwed to hell!

It is very sad you invite peole into your home and if they donnot agree with your belief you discard them as non-friends and have nothing to do with them.  You guys thinkgin is still of a worldly sence- Rosemary you told me that "IF we were in the world that i would not be your friend for very long."  You cant have it both ways, you have one foot in the world and claim to have the other in Gods kindowm!  How hypicritical of you!
